Isamu Noguchi was a master of mid-century design.
His career spanned over six decades, from the 1920’s up until his death in 1988.
Noguchi was an artist and landscape architect who was well known for his stage set designs for various Martha Graham productions.
He also had several mass produced lamps and furniture pieces, some of which, like the Noguchi Table, are still manufactured and sold to this day.
In 1947, Noguchi collaborated with Herman Miller and Charles Eames, as well as a few other notable designers, to produce a catalog containing what is often considered the most influential body of modern furniture ever produced.
The Noguchi Table was produced in this collection and is still highly sought after to this day.
