I was so comfortable all day in my white dress from Lulu’s.com and albeit my worries, I didn’t spill any red wine on it.
Weddings: My Bachelorette Party
This past weekend I drove 3 hours to the Shenandoah Valley for my bachelorette party and I have to say it was the most amazing weekend ever! I’ll warn you now that this post is photo heavy — but I can’t resist sharing all of the details on how my girls created the most perfect time for me. I’m still so touched and honored by all of their work and thoughtfulness. I feel so incredibly lucky to have these people in my life. I’m pretty sad that this special weekend is over, and I can only imagine how the post-wedding blues are going to feel. I’m sad I’ll never again have all of my favorite women in the same room together just us girls, but I’ll really treasure all of our laughs and time together that weekend forever.
Jess was the ring leader in this whole trip and she found a beautiful cabin in Shenandoah, VA. It was huge– had a hot tub, giant front porch, fire pit (which we didn’t utilize) and plenty of room for 14.
As soon as we arrived my sister Emma welcomed us with Rosé Sangria and a delicious cheese platter (my favorite combo) and all of the girls from various parts of my life got to know each other. It was fun!
Rachel and Emma cooked an incredible meal with homemade tomato sauce, bread and salad. Pasta is my favorite meal so this was fitting!
The girls had Lauren from A Fabulous Fete create calligraphy for our trip and I was so excited about this. I would have never in a million years expected it – and it was such a special touch! After dinner I opened a few fun gifts and then we all made flower crowns to wear wine tasting the next day. It was such a great activity for us all to do together and gave us something special to wear.
Oh, and all the girls were encouraged to bring cute pajamas to wear after dinner — Emma gave me this cute polka dot set!
The next morning we munched on donuts and sipped coffee from the front porch while our delicious stratas heated up and Emma made the most crispy bacon ever — and of course mimosas were passed.
